Random 3

So a couple of weeks back, in my behavioral sciences course, we were taught about this hidden self (that's what I think it was called) , the side of you that you know but you hide from people. And that made me wonder, why do we really do it?

Well my answer came out this way. This side of you has some thoughts and they are not as crisp as the ones you discuss about but are a very vague thing which you will not be able to even put in words.  It may or may not be logical but somehow its true atleast from your eyes. So you can't explain the whys and hows to anyone but you believe it more than your logical thought process. And then one day, you try to put it into words. Now however efficient you are these things are so vague, you cannot possibly do that correctly. The other person who you convey it to, will definitely understand one part of it incorrectly. Then you will try to explain what you did and did not mean but you can't do that because it doesn't have any logic either. So at the end of the day, no good came out of it, you ended up loosing your image in someone else's mind and messing with your own thought process.

So even though the books say that you should try to minimize the hidden self, I disagree!!!

Unless you happen to meet someone who understands you better than you understand yourself. But for me until now its a fictional concept. Fingers crossed!! :)
