What Chandler taught me - F.R.I.E.N.D.S. (3)

Chandler Muriel Bing is a character we, as a group, relate to because he is well educated and has one of those corporate jobs where he does data analysis and we will be doing something similar pretty soon but that is not something that he is really interested in. However, in the middle of his career when they are trying to have a baby, he quits his job to do what he wants to do in life and the trigger comes from the fact that he has to stay away from his family and friends on New Year’s Eve. He takes the courage to start from scratch at an advertising agency as an unpaid intern and works hard to get a permanent place in that agency.

I believe it is human nature to choose the path of least resistance. Everyone chooses a career that they feel they are good at rather than something they are interested in. Very very few of us have the courage to stand up and do what we are really interested in and go to any length for that. Chandler does exactly that. Even his career counseling after lots of aptitude tests shows that he is best suited for data analytics and yet he quits that job. In my opinion, it is not easy but then hard work always leads you to your destination, it might take some time but you will reach there and the satisfaction would be worth all the hard work.
