Rachel Karen Green starts as a rich, dumb, spoilt girl who has always lavishly spent her dad’s money and is unemployable. Yet she realises her strength is in fashion, she works her way towards joining a fashion firm and works her way up. She grows up to be a single mother with a career. Towards the end of the series, she is this mature woman, who knows how to deal with her personal and professional life. She basically leverages her strengths and her weaknesses to achieve what she wanted in life.
Rachel is shown to be a little materialistic. She exchanges gifts and yet she has secretly saved stuff like first date movie ticket and first breakfast-in-bed eggshell. She has always believed in finding true love and even though she was separated from Ross for a lot of time, he was the guy who was her true love and she ends up with him eventually. She start going out with him because she realizes his love for her and eventually grows fonder of him. Just like her, I have always believed that love is induced from both sides for each other and it grows exponentially. Between a guy who you love and who loves you, you can call me selfish but I will go for the 2nd one and I know I will love him more than I loved the first one just because I believe love is an induced feeling and not an independent one.
